Michael Stewart, CEO

Michael has more than 40 years of experience as a high-tech entrepreneur and corporate executive, including over ten years of senior leadership experience in the advanced clinical diagnostics industry. Prior to AccessDx and its predecessor diagnostic laboratory, Michael was the founder and CEO of Houston-based Texas MicroSystems.

Dave Copas, Executive Director, Operations

Dave oversees the AccessDx lab operations infrastructure and has over 35 years of experience leading healthcare IT, operations, and software development organizations. He was the co-founder of the MedTek21 platform and led the development of numerous healthcare IT infrastructure software platforms. Prior to MedTek21, Dave was an infrastructure consultant for a variety of companies, including AmerisourceBergen, and he previously held executive operations and technology roles with companies such as Russell Stover, Western Auto, and Payless ShoeSource.

Bryon Cipriani, Executive Vice President

Bryon brings to AccessDx a vast knowledge of the healthcare industry from his nearly 30 years of experience with clinical, revenue cycle, and technology companies, leveraging his skill set to focus the company’s strategic vision. His background includes designing medication management solutions, implementing accountable care programs to physician groups, and consulting for molecular diagnostic laboratories and healthcare organizations.

Tony French, CTO

Tony has over 40 years of experience in healthcare IT, enterprise IT, and mobile integration. Previously, he held technology roles with RecoverCare, Logic Solutions, Dollar Thrifty, Harley Davidson, and Western Auto.

H. Rey Stroube IV, CPA, CFO

In a career spanning almost 30 years, Rey has developed deep accounting and finance expertise as an auditor, investment banker, consultant, and chief financial officer. Prior to joining AccessDx, Rey served as CFO for Baylor Genetics Laboratories, where he was responsible for the accounting, finance, revenue cycle management, corporate strategy, IT, and legal functions.

Joe Spinelli, Senior Vice President, Product and Strategy

Joe brings extensive product and corporate development experience as an operator, investor, and advisor. Joe was a founding team member and chief commercial officer for the MedTek21 clinical decision support platform, where his responsibilities included the platform’s launch and development of partner relationships across multiple verticals. Joe previously held senior investment roles in the venture capital and private equity industries with groups including NXT Capital and Velocity Financial Group, as well as a background in technology investment banking with Harris Williams & Co.

Grattan Smith, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Grattan is a highly accomplished healthcare IT professional with 25+ years of experience in growth, execution, and leadership. He brings with him proven success at Fortune 500 corporations, growth-stage companies, and startup ventures, having served in a variety of roles: business development, strategy, sales, management, and consulting.

Houda Hachad, PharmD, M. Res., Vice President of Clinical Operations

Houda serves on the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) Scientific Advisory Board and is an active member of the Pharmacogene Variation Consortium (PharmVar). She is involved with several pharmacogenomics working groups and committees aimed at standardizing pharmacogenomic testing modalities and at facilitating their adoption by the clinical community. Houda has overseen the development of pharmacogenetic product line extensions from inception to delivery and spearheaded the operational efforts for translating scientific requirements into technology solutions.

Thomas Huard, PharmD, Lab Director

With over 50 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Thomas specializes in all aspects of design, management, and technical oversight of clinical laboratories and diagnostic testing. He brings this extensive knowledge to AccessDx Laboratory, after working with companies such as Quest Diagnostics and Roche. Thomas is a board member of the Division of Clinical Laboratory Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a certified inspection team leader by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
